Cleaning & Caring For My Equipment

Water Bottles: Please make sure your child has his/her name on it.

C l e a n i n g- Helmet: The helmet should be cleaned regularly with hot soapy water. Do not use solvent or abrasive cleaners. Clean the helmet weekly and check for loose screws, cracks or loose padding.

Shoulder Pads:
Wipe off weekly with hot soapy water. Check the straps daily to insure a snug, yet comfortable fit.

Practice Pants & Jersey: Remove all pads and wash in cold water. Tumble dry on low heat.

Game Pants & Jersey:
Remove pads and wash in cold water. Do not use bleach on grass stains. Grass stains come out with an enzyme cleaner. Tumble dry on low heat. Do not use an iron.

Misc. Pads:
You can wipe the pants pads off with hot soapy water. Please do not soak the pads. Although all the equipment is checked prior to the season, please make sure all the equipment is in tact and you are not missing any pieces. If you have any issues with the equipment, please see your coach immediately. Also, before each practice make sure the equipment is fitted properly on your child. This is extremely important for the safety of all the children.

Mouthpiece: It is important that you purchase extra mouthpieces for your child. Although, most players will use only one or two during the season, some players may go through more mouth pieces. If you child does not have a mouthpiece, he/she cannot participate in practices or games.
